Just found this video thread, and i think that i´m gonna use it for posting our namco X capcom opening, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/v/oMkJ4n1hdkMWell couldn`t embed it but this too does the trick Very cool. Personally I don't think the subtitles work, but it's still cool. All the credits around the place also makes it look sort of unprofessional, almost as if I'm about to watch a fansub or something. It's probably just a personal gripe, but I think it would look more professional if you just had the English sub at the bottom and nothing else. Still, it's very good. I disagree; this is exactly what companies like Konami do. Sure, they don't have their own logos, but they do add credits to their opening sequences. Go play the Metal Gear Solid series for an example. I do agree that having the original song, both Japanese and romanized at the top, makes it look like a fansub. I'm not too fond of it, but eh. This is essentially a fansub. Also, the lower subs really need work. You should try lowering them so they don't overlap the animated images. Other than that, this is great. Nice work!

I think maybe what Rai was getting at was the urls. THAT looks a bit amateurish, imo.

Maybe, but what if someone gets the game prepatched and don't know where to look for updates or whatnot? Of course, this also works the other way... Namco people find this and hunt them down. :p

Thanks, we`re working hard to insert the video in to the game, thanks again for the suggestion we``re aiming to do a excellent work. About what Rai said; yes it looks like a fan project because it is one, nobody is paying us to do it and we aren`t professionals, also to ranslate this we're hacking almost all aspects of the game, video ,script and sprites, so it is a great hack to do. About namco hunting down the video, well we don`t make this to make money of it, also the ppl needs to have a original game patch it, so they can be a little "annoyed" but well they have to think the first way that ppl wants to see this game in english and someone is needed to step forth and bring this game to english, even if it is a fan translation group

So the fact that it's a fan project is an excuse for non-professionalism? That might be plausible for voices or something, but the excuse doesn't work here. What would a professional company really do different in this situation? Not much really. Pros can add subtitles and so can you. If it wasn't just subtitles and it was adding stuff to the actual video, yeah, maybe you could use that, but not in this situation. So yeah you have what it takes to make it look professional, but you just don't want it to look professional basically. I'm just saying, if Namco or Capcom really did decide to bring this over and they included the intro, they wouldn't be putting credits everywhere. Course' knowing them, if they really did bring it over, they would probably just use an instrumental of the song or replace the music. And there weren't really credits all over the place in the original either. Maybe instead of putting them in the intro, you could put them in the credits or a read me. With all those urls, logos and stuff it just looks clogged.
Dude. It's a fan translation. They have all the right to add credits. Also, said credits make up for less than thirty seconds of the entire video. And they don't block out anything important. They're using the empty space on the video. Chill.

Calm down, Rai. You don't need to attack the guy. :police:
How's about we all stop going WHOAMG SUBS CREDITS! and get back to the videos, eh?
saito, Why don't you start up a Namco x Capcom thread in the Personal Projects forum? You've certainly got enough work going on the game to justify it.

No one's attacking buddy, it's criticism and apparently that's not welcome here. Calm down? Chill? Nah, I was in a good mood when I wrote that. Just giving a little criticism, something to think about, no need to take it personally and if you do take it personally maybe you should take a walk and see that there is indeed more to life than the internet.

That's more than just criticism right there. You're allowed to criticise, but you're not allowed to get nasty about it. You could have stated all those points in a respectful, rational manner. But you didn't, which is why I told you to stop. Apparently you didn't learn your lesson last week about respecting others, because you then argued the point: No one's attacking buddy, it's criticism and apparently that's not welcome here. Calm down? Chill? Nah, I was in a good mood when I wrote that. Just giving a little criticism, something to think about, no need to take it personally and if you do take it personally maybe you should take a walk and see that there is indeed more to life than the internet.
If you'd just listened and dropped it, you would have simply been left with a warning. Unfortunately, more drastic steps have to be taken now. Hopefully this time you'll cool off during the ban period. I'd also suggest re-reading the rules first thing when you get back. We really do intend them to be followed.

ghettoyouth: Those videos are sweet! Are the graphics homemade or taken from a different game (specifically the girl)?
I liked the wizzard boss's 'follow/speed change/call down lightning-fire' routine, although it looked like the strawberry could use some randomization in its attacks.
That strawberry is awesome though.

Yes, these graphics are all custom made  I'll try to add some more attacks for the strawberry, because it's still to easy to beat.
