why hasnt anyone asm hacked any gameboy games, or done new worlds? there are plenty of gems to recreate into epic hacks, and im so dissappointed in seeing only colorized and lame speed hacks...

Uh, a lot of people have done ASM hacks for gameboy games. This is an ASM hack. This is an ASM hack (a pretty awesome one, too. I'm going to have to try it out). The "lame speed hacks" you mentioned are also ASM hacks.

Am I missing something? Shocked

i guess what i ment was hacks that actually create a new adventure...a rework of maps, new/changed ai/enemies, things like that...

rofl @ the stabbing hack for pokemon, and the vwf is cute but neither of these would classify as an epic hack in my book :3

*edit* ok maybe the bugs bunny hack and the pokemon brown hack are pretty good looking hacks, but can this list of 23 hacks really be it? no super mario land remakes, no metroid II level reworks? ;_;

There is the pokemon gold remake for gameboy advance that is just as good or better than the one for ds that recently came out. that one is epic.

The lame speed hacks I did involved a lot more than you realize, and I've done a couple of "epic hacks" for the NES but would never bother doing that with any GB game (Though there are many GB games I really like).

don't mind me calling them lame, i absolutely understand they required tons of work, especcially asm. I guess i ment as far as changes in the game, they involve only making the game easier or better to play, not necessarily changing it to the point of epicness.

what NES hacks have you done? im curious Cheesy

There's not as much interest in the system, I'm guessing.  Fewer people grew up impressioned than those of, say, the SNES/SFC era.

Too bad, since there's some great games on it.  And people have certainly looked into games on the system, but there's just not enough interest to propel a project towards an end.  Again, compared to other systems.

Not to take this seriously.

I'd suggest heading over to the getting started section and beginning your quest to fill the void. You know, if you don't like something, do something about it!

Actions speak louder than words.  People see something, it may motivate them to do the same.
