Hello,
I've been trying to hack a FFTA game, so that monsters and other non-playable classes are recruitable, so you don't have to mess around with a class, race etcetera modifier to get such a class, as game-wise that only creates a messed up monster/class. This can be in any way: having them treated as another race so the Race:Wanted missions can recruit them, or to just enable them to be able to ask to get recruited, or any other way if possible.
However, I'm still but a newbie in hacking, and I can definitely notice that. I just can't find anything when working with a hex editor, and when I use an emulator's help, the furthest I get is a cheat that changes the race, appearance etcetera for the character in the recruit screen. However, that gives me game-wise a messed up class, not a "genuine" one, just like the cheat that changes that all in the party screen (in other words, I found something useless, as you can just recruit and change afterwards).
So I was wondering, could anyone help me with this? With everything I've seen here, finding the address that determines if a class can ask to be recruited or not (or what determines a class to ask to be recruited at the Race:Wanted missions), and where to find the address of the next class of course, should be a cakewalk. Of course, that does not mean I'll get help (I just have to be lucky someone's willing to), and perhaps it's alot harder than I think it is, but this site seems to be the best place for me to ask this.
At least thank you for your consideration, if any, and I hope someone's able to help me with this.
