I have an IPS for Captain Tsubasa 3 that translated the entire story mode, in-game story specific dialouge between players and characters, all the names of players and teams, only thing its missing is the announcer translation.

I have another IPS that translates all the announcer text perfect. The font is different in this IPS though.

So what do you guys think? BTW, if anyone is interested I will hapilly translate this game into english since both translations are in spanish and are GREAT. I need the spanish script from the IPS files though.

If there's no overlap between the two, you can just apply both patches and then create a new one between the original game and the double-patched version.
If those font changes do overlap, though, you'll have to compare the two patched games in a hex editor and only copy the edited text over.

Yeah there is an overlap, i tried this already. I will have to mess with this so called "hex editor" when i get back to america, this PC im on seems to be iffy with programs like that

What program do you suggest i use? if i can just insert the announcers comments into the above patch then the translation will be 100percent.

Hell, if i really manage to accomplish all that i can translate the whole game into english. I suck at programming and C-plus-plus (symbols absent on keyboard) and math though so i dont know if it will be possible with my 0 skill level.

Apply the patch with the worse font first. Then apply the other patch with the good font. That way the good font will overwrite the bad one and it should go smoothly. Just hope there were no other changes shared between the two patches.

Though you'd have to write some text if the two patches didn't use an identical font table (replaced the same Japanese characters with the same Latin (or whatever) characters).

I dont believe it! THis actually worked for the most part!! Only error i got was a letter or two off at the very beginning of story mode! All announcing is in tact and the story mode is perfect! Should I try and upload this as a spanish patch to the site?
