Has anyone tried porting/ hacking this unfinished CD-i prototype into the SNES game Super Mario World? Similar to what was done with SMB Special into the NES SMB. I don't think it would be too complicated for someone that has a copy of the proto, unlike myself.

I have not learned of any project to port Super Mario's Wacky Worlds to the SNES.

A copy of the CD-i game would not help. You must not expect to rip things from SMWW (CD-i) and insert them into SMW (SNES). The format of the CD-i levels is unknown, unless you investigate the format. The easy way would be to manually recreate the levels from the CD-i game in the SNES game. You would not need a copy of the CD-i game; some good screenshots and videos of the CD-i game would be sufficient.

New Super Mario Bros. Remake (Demo) for SMW is a good example of possibility. This game is a port of world 1 from New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS) to Super Mario World (SNES).

I'm going entirely based on ProtonJon's youtube videos, but he said giga quit when people pissed him off. So now we don't get a patch.

oh...  that's too bad.

i still have it if anyone wants it, though.  it's kinda neat. in fact, let me find it, and i'll just attach it here.

:edit:

ok, here's the link to the patch:

also, in case anyone wants to have a look, gigax571 had locked the rom with lunar magic, but i already unlocked it with rlm, so anyone who wants to can check out the changes.

:edit: 2

btw, unheadered and with the U [!] rom.  -edit- -- bracketed U causes underlining.   Cheesy
