Hi,

I'd like to inform anybody who is interested that we managed to include music to AST (get the latest versions at http://www.bszelda.zeldalegends.net).
I'll also upload the hacks to the database asap.

There are two main wishes that I have left for this game:
- include title screens (I manage this myself as soon we created appropriate ones with Damarsman's awesome asm)
- include a menu (automatic sram save is activated in the game)

I am no professional hacker and thus do not know at all how to create a menu. It shall include
- one saveslot (1 is enough I think because you'll have to rename the sram anyway to play further weeks)
- the possibility to play as boy/girl
- name entry (best was the same as in ALTTP, but a normal one would do it as well)
- delete/new option
- display the name and status according ALTTP (Heart containers, blue/red mail, sword, shield)

Can anybody help here please?

I suggest you try to get a menu up the best you can, then post the source here for help.

I really don't know anything about... is there an asm template anywhere, which I could alter?

If there are other menus in your rom, you can always try to copy one of those and make ends meet... I agree that doing this with only the fairest amount of SNES asm knowledge is nigh impossible to pull off in any manner fashionable...

Cool was if we simply could copy and paste ALTTP menu inside the rom, but this is also too complicated for me, because it seems to use different banks. Also the tiles in ALTTP are not viewable in snesedit, so I dunno where they are stored for dma transfer.
