Sup guys. I am going to hack Mobile Suit Gundam - Gihren's Greed - Blood of Zeon (translation patch) and I noticed that it has the movies (STR) , Sounds (XA and CDA) and boot file (CNR) , SLUPS thing , etc but that it has its scripts and etc inside  of two .MKD files and I was wondering what is the best way for me to approach these unfamiliar files?

I could try to go about it via Hex editing or PSX Assembly Language modification but I am not very skilled with either.

What format are the files in? Is the text stored in ASCII? If that's the case just dump it to notepad.

If they're not and chances are they're not...you'll need to pin point the text and build a table which will require you get good w/ a hex editor.

I believe its the second one (that will require tracking the text).

I am not sure however because I can't access the .mkds thus I am making an assumption about this because there seems no other possible way to go about this.

The . MKDs also appear to store graphics of the Player Mobile Suits , Mobile Armors and Battleships ,etc.

In short this will be a difficult job.

If it was easy, don't you assume someone would have done it already? I ask because the popularity of the series, combined with the fact that people have translated some of these games. Your best bet may be asking from aid from these people.

 Just as a reminder, nothing else, make sure you ask nice.

No, he was saying that if it was so easy to do given the popularity of the series someone would have already done it.

I think it was my ignorance on the giant robot front, I mistook the game mentioned in qustion for something, probably srw.
