I'm not really sure where to put this so I'll just put it in general.
I'm looking into a newly released PSP game and the ISO pretty much has no munge file, all the files are like... there in seperate folders all named "BGM" "NPC" "Effects" "Map" "Voice" "Sound" etc.
Pretty much all the contents of the files are in .arc format and I can't seem to open them sucessfully in your average extracting programs found via google.
Does anyone have any idea on how to open them?
I'm trying to extract facial images from Skits. (btw the game is Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ARC might be worth a try. Don't get your hopes up, though. It's probably some custom format.

I have no idea what to do with that.
The name of the downloaded file is just arc-5.21o
that's not even a functional file extension...

Well, actually it's arc-5.21o.tgz. It's an archive.

I didn't realize it's not available as a binary, though. I don't supposed you have GCC installed...

I'm afraid not.

Hmm, for an old file extension this is prooving to be hard.
I havn't had this much trouble since I started out with .CVM files on the PS2.

Please, if anyone has any more information just let me know!
Thankyou for the help so far, Killa B.

Looking through Wikipedia, this program seems to extract ARC files.

Like I said, though, don't be terribly disappointed if it isn't the same kind of ARC.
