I hope you're interested in joining me for the project.

Megaman Showdown 2 is now 50% completed so far. So I need the other 50% to make my project more interesting. MMS2 is a tribute of celebrating the 20 great years of Mega Man and Mega Man 2, which has basically been all of my life. That also includes all these good Japanese Rockman 2 hacks.

MMS is originally created by Vagla.

Right now, the only important thing in the TEAM project is everyone here and guests are participants. Meaning that ONE participant including me will work on their own Boss AI routine using ASM. Refer to MMS2TP.txt for details.

The AI's must be modified to make it the official 1.0 version.

Heat Man
Air man
Wood Man
Bubble Man (Taken by Insectduel)
Quick Man
Flash Man
Metal Man
Crash Man
Dragon (Optional)
Block Room (Optional)
Guts Man Tank (Optional)
Turret Guns (Optional)
Dr. Wily (Optional)
The Alien

This trailer will make everyone blow their minds.

More importantly, if you don't want to be part of the project, you can play Megaman Showdown 2.

This sounds like a pretty cool idea. I'll check it out later.

I'm not promising anything, though, since my only real experience with Assembly was a Hello World program. Wink

Edit: I'm not really liking your terms of service, though. What is it with copyrights today? In my opinion, rom hacks should never be considered copyrighted. They are unauthorized works, after all.

But you want a whole team of people to contribute to your project, which is "Copyright ©2009 Insectduel"?

I'm a little confused... you're threatening to shut down your own site if someone breaks your terms?

I find the arrogance level to be quite comical.

Shut up just shut the hell up. Who the fuck cares about the TOS violations. No one care about that shit so let's continue with the team project contributions because I need teammates to work on my project.

Thank you.

Chill out, and I for one would care about the terms of service, particularly if I was doing your work for you. Now I am going to ask you to calm down.

Regardless of what you think, acting like that is not going to get anyone to help.

Let me ask you this, have you done anything on this project in terms of asm hacking? Or was this all thrown together with level editors so far? You have to give people a little more information, because no one is going to want to help if they have to do all the work.

You realize you just cursed out people who were considering helping, right?

Let's keep the tempers down here or this topic is doomed to be locked and infractions dealt with.

This project already have some of the ASM stuff involving in hex. And I don't have data for the Bosses AI routine so I have to dump them all to provide it later.

I'm a little confused about what this hack does... At first, I thought it was just a sort of "boss rush" hack, but then there were all these levels in the video and now I'm confused as to what this hack really is all about. (I can't help, btw, I don't know how to hack anything except uncompressed tiles...)

If I'm not mistaken... 95% of that video was actually videos of other hacks.  Which confused me as well.

yeah, i just downloaded the thing from his original post. it's just a bunch of megaman 2 boss battles.  why would you put a bunch of random gameplay footage from other hacks in your youtube video for a specific hack of yours?

also, this is strange in general:(from his terms of service)

Also, Insectduel recommends you NOT to port this ROM-hack in a NES cartridge and sold it for profit without permission from Insectduel. Otherwise Insectduel's Domain will be terminated forever and so is Insectduel's Board.

Yeah that's what I was talking about in my first reply.  Very strange.  It's like.... "If you punch me in the arm, I'll chop my leg off!  Then you'll be sorry."

Which won't hurt them... very strange.
