OK I looked through most of the posts in this forum and saw nothing like this.

My problem is that I can not move Mario from level two over to the fortress. He gets stuck on the space just before the fortress. I would include a  screen shot of my map below, but do not know how. :banghead:

If anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated.

*facepalm*

This could be any one of a thousand problems.  It's nearly impossible to give a meaningful response with what you provided.

1)  Tell us what editor you're using if any
2)  Tell us what you've changed
3)  Give a screenshot*
4)  Tell us what you've done to try and fix this problem
5)  Maybe even tell us how we can reproduce this problem ourselves (give us a step-by-step of what you have to do to get this problem to occur -- that way we can tell you if you missed a step or whatever).

* Take a screenshot with the "Printscreen" key on your keyboard (or Alt+Printscreen to just take a picture of the active window).  Then go in Paint and Edit|Paste.  Save the image and convert it to something internet friendly like PNG or JPG using some kind of image conversion utility (or if you have XP, I think you can save directly to PNG).  Upload this image to a web server or hosting site -- there are several free ones like imageshack.  Then either provide a link to the uploaded image here, or embed the image with the [ img ] tag (the bottom-left BBC tag button -- just above the smilies when you post)

OK, I am using Beneficii's SMB3 Map editor utility (BETA release) and I completely re-tiled the world one map, but I kept the pointers and everything the same I just moved the pointers so that the levels could be accessed. I will include a link to a screenshot on my myspace page...

Everything works except Mario gets stuck on that path space right below the fortress space so I can't test the rest of my hack hopfully that will help you diagnose my problem

And I just noticed this: the piece below the fortress is a road connector...perhaps it should just be a straight piece?

I might be wrong -- but I wasn't aware you could have tiles spaced oddly like that.  I mean -- I thought that you had to have two tiles between places.. notice how the castle is directly above the space below it (and similarly the spade on the right is directly above the space below it -- you'd probably have a similar problem there).

My advice would be to keep everything spaced out.  Move that whole portion of the map from the castle to the space below the spade up one tile.

Hey you guys are awesome. I also did notice that i was right in that you can't move to a level tile from a connecting tile. Thanks for the help. Smiley

But now I have a whole new problem Sad

As raccoon or tanooki Mario it takes a REALLY long time to get the power meter up to full so I can fly. Even when the meter is flashing I have to keep running an extra amount of distance to be able to take off. I used SMB3 Workshop to change the flight time value and even when I change it back to the default value I still had this problem. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated as well.
