Yet another of my boring topics, so please bear my presence on the board. :p

Yesterday I made a very small patch that corrects one of the most infamous bugs on this game: the spirit+m.def bug. So I was wondering, is there any other major bug in this game that needs to be corrected? Like the Death Penalty bug that allows you to kill every monster in game (even Weapons) with just one hit.

Infinite Items using w-item, it has a tendency to shave hours off of endgame grinding but I believe it is a bug none the less.

I always thought it was intentional, cheap as all hell that it is. I vote for fixing it. Grin

Hello,

I created an account here so that I could THANK YOU GEMINI for this long-awaited bugfix.

I just recently started replaying FFVII for the nth time and, being aware of this bug, I searched online for a fix. Just a few days ago, I gave up. I guess good things will come to those who wait!

While I agree W-item is definitely a bug, I love it for saving me the countless hours it would take to steal all those Elixirs for the Magic Pots. If you fix the bug, make 'em ask for Potions at least! Wink

Again, thanks. Cheers!

I know how many love "convenient" bugs, that's why my approach is to have a series of patch (to apply in no particular order) so that you can select whatever you want to fix in the game, in a similar way to what FF6 bugfix patches do.

As for the Double Item materia, I have no clue how to fix that at the moment. I'll investigate it later and let the interested people know.

Should you manage to, let me know. Wink
