The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Chinese Translation Released!

Game Platform: Nintendo GameCube

I think this will be the first ARPG  translation on GameCube platform

Your last post was locked, and I am not sure what all this is. If you do not want this one locked as well, you are going to have to do better then a credits list, and mention that it is an action rpg.

This post was made before the post that was locked, and I'm pretty sure that linking to a translation patch for a GameCube game constitutes a little more than "a credits list" and "mention that it is an action rpg".

Christ, I would have expected that people would be excited that someone completed a GameCube translation but instead people shit on the guy. I guess if it's not in English, nobody gives a fuck...

Seriously, I think it is awesome that people from non-English translator groups gather here and I think we should be lenient in any case. Afterall, HyperIsis has only 2 posts, one of which was locked. Secondly, if we scare away everybody, then it's not fun anymore around here.
Incidentally, I already wrote some PN's with Aerdan about his behavior against some ppl here while moderating, because I think this site want's a self-sustaining community and not a policed information ghetto!

I think somebody who actually got a gamecube emulator and the game should jump in and take some quick screenies - that'd be a good community move. I've got neither and sadly a full HDD Sad Laptops suck

Of course I give a fuck, I just want to see something other then a credits list. The link to other info is not loading for me, even on a highspeed connection, so all I have for info is what has been posted.  Did I lock the thread? Did I attack the person? I merely asked them to present more information.

Edit: So after sitting here for 8 minutes waiting for the info page to load, which gave me enough time to post a little, and read a little, I have a completion list, I will not make an attempt to decipher the page contents, but I am still lacking a screenshot.

All I am asking for is the basic format everyone here follows.

OK. Calm down. It's been moved to Translation Hacking. It can go here regardless of how much information is present. If actual project discussion goes on, it can be moved back. Let's move on with life and not clutter the topic further.

Well, I'd say it's a bit hard for non-English translators to gather on a board where people are expected to use English for their posts. Roll Eyes

That's outside the current scope of RHDN though.

Sorry for my posts, if it (alreay) made you obfuscation or angry.

In fact, I want give the screen shot or patch download, but I'm find a host to host my file. and the link I posted is a TV game forum, I put patch there.

OK, OK, I need some help.

this game have a special effect of language, for example, Valoo speaks Old Hyrule Language.

but, if I changed the game script, the Old Hyrule Language is disappear, game displays normal text.

I takes a lot of time in disasm, and game font file rebuilding. The font mapping table shows that, Old Hyrule Language uses SJIS table character,  and I rebuild the game script using correct SJIS mapping, but it still not work. Dunno why.

If some one knows how to make it work, plz tell me, thanks.

Have you checked if the effect might be created using a control code? Maybe there is a control code that changes the font or the display of the font (Not sure what the effect actually is, it's been ages I played this) that you accidentally overwrite or you didn't dump correctly in the first place.
