Basewars was a great Game for the NES.  I always hated waiting for the computer to play itself in pennant mode though.  Not to mention a playoff type structure for the end of the seson would be cool too.  This isnt a request just thought I would open a discussion on what people would like to see "hacked" in Basewars.

I realize my Ideas are a little unrealistic, But I was Also Thinking that Maybe Each Team Having its own Uniforms Instead of just Blue And Red (if thats Even Possible).

Yeah, Basewars was pretty awesome.

There isn't much hacking I'd like to see done to it - maybe the weapons, though.  You just know the programmers wanted to put in forbidden movie objects such as lightsabers, Grin Auto-9s, &... Phased plasma rifles?

I have been wondering whether this was a subversive attempt at a request, or just wishful thinking, or both, or neither.  Let it just be said, that it is quite clear that request do not go here, as long as the conversation steers clear of that, all will be well in the world.

Personally, I am a fan of sports, I also thoroughly enjoy oddball sports games most prominently from my childhood was Mutant League football/hockey, that said basewars never really got me interested. Kind of a nifty concept, but not my cup of tea.

Nope not a Request, I assure you.  Just conversation.

There was a month of my life that was devoted to Base Wars.  I had turbo controllers, so I always used the robot that shoots its fist back/forth, so I could destroy any opponent almost instantly.  My brother didn't want to play with me anymore...
I can't think of anything I'd want hacked in Base Wars, except maybe to defeat the premise of the game by replacing the robot graphics with people.
Oh, maybe you can reprogram the battle AI to fight really really cheap (like my turbo button example)!  It may be a fun way to play around with the assembly code.
