IIRC, you could put that file in the same folder as the app to get it working so you can kinda avoid the registry step....

If anyone is still interested in hacking this I am happy to share my info on this.  I have info on the e-reader level format (which is vastly different from the format of the SMB3 ported levels), as well as decompcression code for the levels stored in the .SAV file.  I'll need to dig stuff, but just informing that I do have notes available though I warn that it's messy =)

I'm still interested in this, I have a habit of getting distracted so not much accomplished ;sweat;
Yeah, I'd like to see what you got!

Yes Bouche, if you could please post what you do have.  I'd be very interested in the e-reader level information, as that's why I started hacking SMA4 in the first place.

Sorry about bumping this but I have found something that will definately help me in this hack.

I was playing around with Translhextion and I discovered something: I found out that the names of the e-Reader levels are not found in the ROM, but are actually found in the .SAV file of SMA4!  (I guess only if you have some e-Reader levels in the SAV already)  So this will make it super easy to rename the Japan only levels into readable names. :crazy:

EDIT:  When I changes the script, it does not do what I want it to do?  So anybody know a good SAV editor?
