I've seen this user's videos on Youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/dq5r

No information is really given other than just videos of a translation in progress.  Does anyone know who is responsible for this translation and if there's a web site?

Yeah, I knew he was working on it... although somehow I just get the impression this is not his work.

All that's left really is revisions to the script. Time is tough right now as I have some things that I need to be working on.

I am more excited about this translation than any other translation, ever. DQ5 is my favorite SNES RPG and in my top 3 of all time. This game is seriously 90% of the reason I even bothered getting a modded PS2(just got it last week <3). Got my copy of DQ5r the other day, really REALLY excited now. Oh sweet Jesus, let it be soon.

Also very much looking forward to DQ3.

Oh well, off to play DQ4 DS, now. That game is pretty hot, too.
