I am new here, and sorta new to romhacking, but I have a personal project that I am undertaking and could use some help with something.

Final Fantasy IV is my favorite game of all time. I am a fan of naming my characters. They took out the option to name characters in the DS version, so I am trying to go into the game and change the names myself. The problem is, I cannot locate the script in the game.

I was wondering if someone could help me locate the game's script. I have successfully changed the names of the characters on the menu and in battle, but I want to change the names in the text as well.

I am using the north america version of the rom that has the japanese voices dubbed over the english ones, i don't know if this makes a difference or not.

any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying my best to figure this out myself, but I am having a really hard time locating the file/area where the script is.
