I was making some custom graphics over the last few days, and something that rarely happens started happening all the time.

I'd make the graphic, and then go to click on another graphic to edit it, and the color selector and blackboard (the area you can edit graphics in outside of the ROM, dunno what to call it) would just DISAPPEAR. And the only way I know how to get them back is to restart TLP itself. And having to do that every time I edit a small graphic is a pain in the ass.

Is there a fix for this, or somethign I can do to decrease the amount it happens?

YY-CHR has done a great job with my NES hacks.  I would suggest giving it a shot.

No, use TWO copies of YY-CHR. One to edit and one to use as a clipboard.

Though I still break out TLP, I keep using version 1.0. 1.1 just didn't sit well with me.

The clipboard in TLP turned me off of it. Why doesn't it make an actual copy of the tiles in the clipboard? I don't want changes I make to the clipboard affecting the rom until I want it to.  Angry

So basically if I prefer TLP over YY-CHR (I still use YY-CHR, but I like TLPs interface better), I'm screwed?

You can try Tile Molester too. It's the best tile editor for me. And it's in java and run perfectly in another platforms like Linux.
