Got into romhacking again about a year ago then personal stuff came up and completely side tracked me. Wanting to go to work on my projects again but have re-formatted the PC since then. And for the life of me I can't get Japanese to display in notepad or tabular or anything like that properly again with Windows XP. Is there a tutorial out there I'm missing with instructions? I looked at the Getting Started but didn't really glean much from it. I know I did it before and had some trouble with it but can't figure it out this time and feel like an idiot

Might not be a bad idea to write up a step by step instruction for this. Maybe I'll do just that once I get it going again.
