I don't know should this be here but i'm having problems with FF4 Editor (this one http://www.romhacking.net/utils/191)
It says the rom i open isn't American version even though that rom is! What i do? I've been searching for different FF4 roms but they don't work too. Can anyone help? (I know that sharing ROM Download links is illegal but help!)

I think there were a couple versions of FF2 US released.
The program is probably looking for a specific version (1.0 or 1.1).
Google search the GoodTools name ("Final Fantasy II (U) (V1.0)") and you should quickly find both versions of the ROM.

Ehh... Kinda stupid question but... What is GoodTools and i googled 'GoodTools name ("Final Fantasy II (U) (V1.0)' and 'Final Fantasy II (U) (V1.0)' but nothing was founded.

http://planetemu.net/index.php?section=roms&dat=300&action=showrom&id=398556

have a popup blocker ready
click 'telecharger' to download (and if you get a prompt asking if planetemu is the site you want to visit, say yes)

Add a header to this ROM by using SNEStool or a hex editor

Good Tools is a series of programs (in this case, GoodSNES) designed to detect and automatically rename ROMs for a corresponding system.
While the accuracy of the program has been debated plenty, it is important because presently, most ROM sites will upload all ROMs for supported consoles, and distribute them using GoodSNES to name the files.

(though perhaps I should have just said to check the "Where to find ROMs" topic stickied in the General Discussion forum, instead of Google.)

You can use NSRT to add the header, if required here.

This editor isn't recommended, since it tends to cause glitchy graphics (noted in one hack that uses this). Fundamentally it works, but the fact that it can produce an oddsize ROM is concerning for various reasons.

Good event viewer, though.

I'll maybe instead hack DW1 or some other game (If there's good editor for DW1)

There's no reason you can't hack FF4, even if that particular editor has its flaws. There's no good reason to hack 1.0 anymore anyway, now that 1.1 is known to have bug fixes.
