There was a program awhile back, I forget by who, that either:

A. Decompressed/Recompressed SMA4: SMB3's saveram file.
B. Patched the rom so that it used a decompressed save file.

Does anyone know about this? I have interest in developing some sort of level editor if I can find it.

I've tried using Google but it's not my friend. If I could only remember the guys name.

I'm guessing you'll either want DJBouche or Caitsith2.  They are the only 2 people I'm aware of with the knowledge to pul that off.

DJBouche was a long time ago, and I believe he was the one who initiatially did the decoding.

Caitsith2 (http://www.caitsith2.com/ereader/index.htm) did work on the the e-reader and the level format of the e-cards.

Years ago somone named Sludge had a SMA4 overworld editor, as well as someone named purplebridge had posted level offsets and object lists.
