Hello, I'm new to ROM hacking but wanted to give it a try. I read a lot of the guides and I'm wanting to try and translate Tales of rebirth for PSP. I downloaded a copy of MadEdit-0.2.8 which I like. But when I open Eboot.bin some of the text is just a square box which I believe is some unknown Japanese text. What can I do to see the characters?

Thanks

If it's using a common encoding like Shift-JIS, you can use crystaltile2 to view it.

It sounds like you don't have the Japanese language pack installed.
