Hello, I'm new around here, and I came to ask to you experts, if it's possible to hack the Castlevania for GBA of the Classic Nes series.
What I had in mind, was to edit only the graphics, to make an enhanced version of that game, with updated palette and sprites, alà SOTN, a thing that I thought would be easily done with that game, seeing that obviously, the GBA can handle far more color and a higher resolution than the Nes.
I tried to open the rom of the game with a tile editor, like Tile Layer Pro, but with no success at all. All I could see was some font and icons, but no real sprites at all.  Undecided\
Is there any other way to do it, or the sprites are stored in a way that is not easily editable?
Thanks for your help.  Smiley

The game is compressed to heck and back, and it's just a NES game running on an emulator.

You're better off hacking the NES version.
