Hi, my name is Jason and I wanted to start translating a game to try it out. But I really don't know of short games that would be easy to do... Any suggestions?

Are you talking about hacking a translation into a game, or just translating the script?

Either way, I'd suggest something like...an action title with very little text, or something like a puzzle game.

I was talking about a Normal Game. I found a Game called Willow(NES) there is already a English Patch but I will still try on this one.

What exactly is a "normal" game?

List of games that I consider short:

American Battle Dome (The Story Mode consists of only six stages. Beat those, and you've beaten the game.)
Shinri Game 3 (10 quizzes, three doors to select, and this game is done... I think. My cluelessness in Japanese has me stumped, and I have no idea how many different questions there are in this game.)
Tarot Mystery (Card game consisting of Tarot and something... hmm, I can't quite put my finger on the second one due to my cluelessness in Japanese. I know it deals with Zodiac. Neither is long.)
Zenkoku Juudan Ultra Shinri Game (Same case as Shinri Game 3.)

The first one is a multi-player pinball game. Shinri Game 3 and Zenkoku Juudan Ultra Shinri Game are quiz games. Tarot Mystery is... well, I know it's spiritual.

The top one is published by Tsukuda Original, the other three are published by Visit. I have the offical website for Visit if you want it.

OK Since I don't know Japanese and all the symbols are starting to annoy me I will be going with a French Hack of a English game... Most likely a Nes game. Thanks anyway. I will go back to Japanese when I get a bit more experimented.

(Please... in the future, avoid using the term “jap”. It’s an ethnic slur in many countries.)

I don't know why but I have been having a hard time even getting the table. I'm using Thingy32 but whenever I load my table file every Bits gets ## signs instead of my letters. Anyone knows why?

I agree. It's far better to use the full term "Japanese" instead. If you must abbreviate, "JP" is the offical ISO abbreviation for Japan. Japanese ROMs are usually simply labled "J", so that could be considered the "offical" shorthand in the emulation/ROM hacking community.

Word1=1Max letter capacity.
Word2=5Max letter capacity.
word3=3Max letter capacity.

I know of a French-only game myself. The game is called Super Dany, and it's for the SNES.
