Hi,

I'm using SMB Utility and I'm editing level 1-2 in Super Mario Bros.  My problems are:

1.  I can't edit most of the objects in the level.  I have changed a lot of blocks to "nothing" and  now when I right-click them and try to change them to something else, they don't change.
2.  I can't navigate to the end of the level no matter what mode I am in.

Note that I removed all of the ground and Mario now just jumps to various platforms.

I may just have this leveled screwed up somehow, I don't know.  If I have to, I wouldn't mind restoring 1-2 back to the way it was originally in the game, as long as I don't lose all the progress I have already made with 1-1.  I don't know how to do that, though.

What can I do?  Please and thank you.

i wouldnt trust having random "nothing" blocks in there.. either use em up or send them to a different level

i could help you out more if i coudl look at the actual level

Here is the level.  When I click on a green square, it is one that is "nothing" and I go to edit and change it to "horizontal block" (length: 2) but it doesn't change.  At the end of the level, I keep right clicking and going to "next page", but it won't go.

yeah i couldnt tell much from that.. are you sure you even have any more pieces past that pipe at the end?  you can't scroll any more when there's no more objects

also you can use the little arrows in the top left corner of the level edit window to move left and right with one click Smiley

post the ips or the rom and maybe i'll be able to sort out your other problem

it looks like the weirdness has to do with a some "page skip" blocks.  there is one on the 1st page on row 13 (the 1st white row).. if you turn that into a normal block or something else, you will notice a lot of those blocks will move and then become usable.  you might have to redesign the level though unfortunately
