I don't know if this is illegal to talk about it here but I need to translate my copy of the Ocarina of Time Debug ROM to English.  I know you need to use "Zelda Edit" but even after installing .NET Framework 2.0 and trying to fix it with the official program, it still refuses to work, here's what it tells me.  Please Help!

Much too big image

Well, have you installed the other versions of .NET?

I believe some versions require older versions of .NET. I have 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 on my system. And no, it's not illegal to discuss things like those here, don't worry.

I could be wrong, but wasn't Zelda Edit that program that was just an excuse to make the user install a malware program?

I'll try that!  Thanks!

EDIT: No, I downloaded and installed 1.0 and 1.1 still nothing.

Nope, Zelda Edit is/was a legit program created by cooliscool that was able to fix some problems with the ROM, it - as the original poster stated - could translate the Map Select menu into English, etc. It's been discontinued after its successor ZAVAP (later Utility of Time) was released.

Sadly no. The fixes and Map Select translation are things that weren't carried over to UoT, so you'd still have to use Zelda Edit for that, sorry.

EDIT: you do not need to run .NET, do you?
