i am trying to invest my time in making a gbc color version of the rpg called saint seiya. for monochrome gameboy.

according to what i read, there is practically no way of doing this right? i have downloaded tile molester and gbcolorizer with little hope for my project.

it would be easier to remake the whole game with ripped tiles right? i come from gameboy programming, and to be honest hacking roms seems way more complex

so tell me if there is any hope for coloring these kind of games with hacking (gbcolorize didnt work)

Well, if you already have some programming experience, then you might as well be able to fish out the color shade-loading routines for gbmono and replace them with the color counterparts. That's about it Smiley

Look up "VisualBoyAdvance Color Edition".

Would be good to see some more masterboy colorization files out there.

I seen a preview of that gb colorizer for psp on a youtube video before. I'm glad to hear they made a pc, but it sure sounds like a lot of manual work. I think if they found a way to make the colorization easier it would have alot more ini files. It seems you gotta type in everything tile by tile in a text editor.

I tried making a better colorization for Final Fantasy Legends for Masterboy, but quickly found out that only a few tiles are loaded into the same place in RAM in that game. The rest are loaded dynamically.
