although the some location names are translated, some are rather difficult to translate...

That's very unfamiliar language, for sure. Interesting to see less common ones used in translations.

Might be because the language doesn't require it:

Red Comet is right, there are no capitalizations in Lojban.

So, why do you translate games into constructed languages? I'm honestly curious.

Logic dictates your target audience is the Cartesian product of the set of all people who like Chrono Trigger and the set of all people who "read" Lojban.

I have good news and bad news.


The good news is the development of the translation:











The bad news is, when using Temporal Flux I removed the header and now I can't use my "Chrono Trigger text editor". I know Temporal Flux can also be used as a text editor but it doesn't allow me to edit the dialog. I only can edit "item names", "item descriptions", "menu texts" but not the dialog. Does anyone know why the "dialog" option does not appear? Otherwise the project will be canceled.

EDIT (MAR 6, 2008) 12:12:42 AM:

I found the header's code. I must enter the header's code in the beginning of "non-headed" Chrono Trigger code.

EDIT: MAR 6 2008 7:38:20

Bad news: I corrupted the rom file while working with and without the header, I can't even save the rom file to continue progress!

I might be wrong, but I think you should only release patches for roms/disc images on this site; not actually playable roms.

I'm not quite sure what male turkeys have to do with anything, but the reason you release patches is because its illegal to redistribute ROMs (and because patches are much smaller in size). Creating a patch is very easy, so there's nothing to complain about.

The ROM file cannot be edited to make the patch. It became corrupted for future editing.

Making a patch is really easy.

1. Get LunarIPS and click the "create patch" button.
2. Select the original unmodified ROM.
3. Select your hacked Lojban ROM.
4. Give your patch a name
5. Ta-da, now that wasn't hard was it?

One thing to remember about SNES roms though, you have to remember about headers. If you hacked a ROM that doesn't have a header then you have to make sure to tell people who you give the patch to that the ROM can't have a header. Theres many programs that can add or remove SNES headers.
