Does anyone know if there's any work being done on this? I've thought about getting a project started, but I am nowhere near competent enough in Japanese to translate all the text in this game. Also, I have a little experience with rom hacking, but not a hell of alot, but I'd be willing to dive-in headfirst if it meant getting this game to a point where I could play it and understand what the hell is going on. Inverse was working on this, then he vanished. End.

Yeah, I'd say it's safe to work on it.

Inverse won't be returning to us anytime soon most likely.  It's already rapidly heading toward a year since anyone's seen or heard of him.

Apologies for linking to GameFAQs, but I thought you would find these interesting:

GameFAQs topic on the translation

Preliminary website dealing with the translation. It only started a few days ago, but the guy does understand Japanese, so it looks promising. He lacks technical skills when it comes to making a text dump though.

Anyone care to help him out?

I also submitted this as a news item on here, and Zophars. But Zophar has like a 800 news item que. And I can't register on their forums with my hotmail account.

So then chaps, over to you guys! With the game being released in 1996, 10 years ago, I find it rather apt that this year things seem to picking up pace?

We received your submission, but is against site policy to post news requests solely for help requests.  That's what our 'Help Wanted Ads' section is for as well as the board here.

You should contact the author and have him put up a help wanted ad here on the site.

I posted a reply over at GameFAQs. I just got the ISO last night, so I'll probably start taking a whack at it in a couple days. Does anyone have any information about the Sega CD (any and all would be appreciated Wink)?

If you find any, please add whatever you find useful to the site. We have a budding hardware info section that could certainly use it.

Ideally, a question like yours should be answered by someone telling you to look on our site. hehe But we don't have the material.. YET..

Try seeing if the people responsible for Gens are any help.

http://gens.consolemul.com/

Popful Mail runs perfectly on it. So these guys know their Sega CD stuff.

I don't think running around asking emu authors for information or where they got their information is such a good idea. Wink Not good for our integrity or site rep in general I don't think.

The truly tragic thing about this is that g8z_et_al already did most of the hard work and included it in their gens tracer. Sad I'd almost take on the project if I didn't have so much on my plate already.
