sorry if i'm retarded for posting this here, but i make self-bootable rom discs for dreamcast using nesterdc, and no matter what i do i cannot get Zelda II to work at all. does anyone know why this is happening and/or if i can somehow fix this? thank you for your help.

Maybe the emulator (or converter) is uncompatible with Zelda II or you may have a bad dump that doesn't work on nesterdc. :/

yeah, i kind of figured it just wasn't compatible with the emulator or whatever. there's also certain patches for hacks that won't work with games that WILL work. most notably, is the one for Mario 3 (which is apparently one of THE best hacks of all time) that i cannot remember the name of right now. you probably know which one. so that sucks. oh, well. thanks, anyways.

I assume Mario Adventure is what you're talking about. I think DD has said the implementation of the mapper may not be 100% correct which is why that problem might occur

yeah. i'm pretty new to romhacking. the only things i've really done are try to use game-specific programs to try to do stuff so i don't really know a whole lot about "real" programming or anything quite yet. i just found out about hacked roms even existing a little over a year ago and i think it's great. it's like indie-gaming or whatever. thanks.
