I'm currently programming some Wario Land 1 enemies to use in Super Mario World and there's something odd about the tiles of the Wanderin' Goom .
There seems to be an unused shooting tile along with a projectile and my question is: Is it really unused or does it appear anywhere in the game?
I haven't played the game for a while but I can't remember seeing that enemy shooting Oo
So, does anyone know something about this?  Tongue

I've never seen that enemy either. O_o Maybe it's just a placeholder or something.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least. Note, for instance, that the back of the box claims the game has "over 40 stages" while the actual count IIRC was only 38.

Stuff got cut from the finished product. Simple as that. Funnily enough, removing Wanderin' Goom's ability to fire seems a little odd, as he's probably the least common enemy in the game (by contrast, his spear-toting cousin is ubiquitous).

Now my memory may be a bit fuzzy, but how is there only 38?
(I recall level 13 was derived from level 10. Am I forgetting one other?). I'm guessing you're not counting the flooded versions of the beach levels?

I love beta stuff :3
I have recreated the shooting for the custom enemie (guessed how it could looked like in the Wario beta)
