Hello i'm new here. I wanted to ask for help and pointers for translating Gameboy Colour games. I got my hands on a rare copy of a GBC game called Oodorobou Jing Devil Edition. Or in english King of Bandit Jing Devil adition. There was also an Angel Edition so my searching tells me. I downloaded the rom in hopes of finding an english patch or a flat out english rom, so i could play it.

But so far no luck has come up. I was wondering if there is any help to be found here besides the obvious translation tips on this site.

Thanks for everyone's time.

You've come to the right place.

To be honest, I actually spent some time working on an English translation patch for the two King of Bandit Jing games (and yes, there is an Angel Version and a Devil Version, just like Pokemon). Unfortunately, the print routine is so obscenely screwed-up that I can't make heads or tails of it. I want to hack a VWF into the game, like I did with Sylvanian Families (another obscure GBC title ^_^), but it's going to take some time and effort, and presently it's on the back burner. Right now I'm working on Death Note: The Kira Game for Nintendo DS, and I intend to tackle Death Note: L's Successor afterwards (and possibly the "Rasen no Wana" prequel as well)...King of Bandit Jing is a project I'd like to take on sometime, me being a Jing fan and all, but you'll have to wait a while.

Waiting a long time isn't a problem to me. Just that i know some one out there is working on it, is good enough for me.
