I'd never turn away any help that is offered. If it's not too much trouble I'll have a look at the 'starter pack,' no doubt I'll have to continue my reading on ASM, Tracing, everything... to make any sense of what it includes so doubt I lose any learning experiences.

I keep getting other ideas on what to do if/once I get my ASM up to scratch but I must stay focused on this (although the idea of a bigger play area does sound nice eh, eh.) Ok I think I've read through all the Megadrive ASM texts (yup the whole 1) and a couple of good Snes ones now it's time to...infact hold that thought, now it's time to get back on track, I'm meant to be reading about Tracers and VRAM and even before that I'm meant to be sleeping.

Ok I'll go see what I can find on Tracers and read that till I fall asleep, if you can get the starter pack that'd be great thanks.

Infact I'll take this moment to thank everyone who's helped out so far  I try not to thank after every post, I'm sure your egos are big enough Wink but all help is greatly appreciated. Good Night.

Good morning everyone!

Ok great news, I've managed my first ASM hack!!! Yippie! Ok it's nothing huge (well it is to me) I followed Parasyte's guide on changing the jump hieght of Samus in Metoird and learnt as much as I could from that. Then taking what I learnt there I managed to change the guns range as well!

I'm really chuffed with myself, it feels like I've just climbed a massive mountain and now I can see all the possibilites down the other side and I can't wait to dive off and right in!

:woot!: Priase is welcome  Grin Grin

Just stopped the timer on Bonanza Brothers on the Sega Master System, I'm getting closer to being able to work on the Mega Drive.

The graphics probably use the Nemesis compression (just as Dr.Robotnik Mean Bean Machine and many Sega games) so you should be able to find them with the Nemesis Searcher. You'll find it in the MD Programs Pack  here:

I've submitted the starter pack to the site. In a day or two it should be available.
