OK I've been sitting on this for at least 4 years and now I'm sending it for review. It's just a text and graphical hack that's really not much, but more for aesthetic design. "What do you mean, TepidPupil?" Here's two pictures. The first one isn't obvious unless you pause the game:

The next one shows a little of what I changed. For example, whatever that thing was to upgrade your whip and Alucard's flame shot (that I also edited) looked not right, but I noticed in SotN that he wore a rosary. It never hurts to wear more than one so, I figured that it would be a better replacement. I made the all-enemy-killing rosary the bible.

I also made several changes. They are minute but they mean a big deal to me. Examples are:

Grant's knife is the same but not his "axe"
When you fight Alucard as a boss his flames shoot out different.
The opening title (I'm proud of that cobra I added).

I've rekindled my flame for hacking (hence the name Tepidpupil) and am working with the new revamp to make my own levels, I hope to be just as good as Redrum, Thaddeus, and Anapan. I probably will be, just need to focus more. By that I mean, as soon as I figure out how to post my ISP so you guys can get your hands on your own copy, I'll be well on my way. This is a half-assed cry for help also.

You might as well go for the level editing. It would be the first level edit for this game. Strange that CV1 has so many and this has none.

Its an .ips for the American version of CVIII and there's a read me. I'll be updating this as time progresses, I've just been sitting on this for a few years. Why not, ya know?

It got rejected and yet at the same time, so many people have looked up this thread (thanks!).

I said I was going to work on it with reVamp and I am. So far, so good. I'm learning The only problem is, I'm trying to make it balanced and challenging at the same time. Anyone interested in tossing ideas would be appreciated.

If you can't come up with ideas for levels you could always try recreating some levels from other CV games. It would be good for nostalgic value and stuff and get you off the hook of trying to create all those levels on your own.
