I just thought of a neat little idea. Why not hack some hacked used-to-be-Wonder Boy-games on non-Sega systems back into Wonder Boy/ Monster World games?

Like:
Adventure Island (NES) back into Wonder Boy (1)

Bikkuriman World (TG16 Japan)/ Saiyuki World (NES Japan, prequel to Whomp 'Em) back into Wonder Boy in Monster Land

Monster Lair (TG16CD) back into Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair (may be identical already)

Dragon's Curse (TG16) back into Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap (may be identical already)

The Dynastic Hero (TG16CD) back into Wonder Boy in Monster World

Why not? I know you can simply just play the original, but maybe someone is bored.. so again, why not? Maybe I'll give it a try...

I always thought of reverting that guy in final fight snes back into the original girl. Not the japanese SNES sprite but the arcade one. That was sorta on topic.

That would be really easy since she's in the Japanese versions! I think I will do that myself here shortly, for Final Fight, Final Fight Guy and Final Fight One for GBA. That really pissed me off, why did they change FF One when there is now a rating system in place. Rate the game Teen and have the decriptor, "Sometimes you fight hookers" or something.. lol... but seriously they could have left Poison and Roxy in those games. The US versions also replaced "Beer" with "Root Beer" and "Bar" with I think "Club". They changed Damnd to Thrasher and Sodom to Katana. They also changed "Oh my god!" to "Oh my car!". The only changes I care about are Poison and Roxy, however. This is why I have the Japanese version of all three FF1 Nintendo games.

Yeah, but the japanese version of FF for SNES is a different sprite. The shirt, and I think the skirt was made longer.

I noticed some time ago when looking thru the sprites for FF1 for GBA in YY-CHR that they actually had the poison/roxy sprites in the game. I don't know but maybe at some point that sprite was gonna be an unlockable.

No, I think that's only the Sega CD US version.
Mega CD (Japan)          Sega CD (USA)

Super Famicom (Japan)                                    Super NES (USA)

That's probably since most of the same changes have been made to the GBA port as were done to the SNES. Poison and Roxy are in the Japanese GBA game, but not the US version.

here is a page that details the changes to the SNES version
