It is not the first time: there are some patches, that are said to work fine on PCs, that just never work correctly on macs. Even if the original rom works fine, once it is patched, sometimes the rom is heavily bugged, or does not even start. I suppose that there are some compatibility problems, since most if not of the hacking process is made on windows based PCs, yet it is still annoying to have translted rom becoming worthless. So, is there anyone here who has a solution about that?

The only thing I can think of is the core difference between PPC Macs and PCs is that they use totally different endians. When a process like IPS patching modified data in a specific location, my guess is that the data is dealt "backwards" simply due to endianess. So, my guess is that the IPS patching (or hex editor for that matter) Mac app or the Mac port of an emu is (soft) patching the data incorrectly.
In any case, there isn't anything special done. It has zero to do with the hacks being made on PCs.

Yes, but still, while some patches work just fine, some over made throught the same applications et patched using the same program are not working at all, wich make me wonder why two similar patches are producing two radicaly different results.
