Hi, I'd like to colorize a MBC2 Game Boy game to make a GBC rom but the only util I've found is GBcolorizer by MistrFishy which only supports MBC1 games Does anyone know another util to make it? Or perhaps some docs? Thanks for your help

GBcolorizer is the only one I've personally seen, and that one has lots of problems even with the MBC1 ROMS it claims to support. Development on it just ended abruptly, from what I could find, with no hope of any future updates.
For instance, I tried messing with Super Mario Land, but it refused to show all tiles that were available in the game. Even when I tried changing what was available in the program, no matter what settings I used, the game and/or music ran too fast.

Yeah, there were only a few games that worked with it without too many errors (I'm fairy certain I did some work with one of the Mega Man games, I know there is at least one Metroid II color patch)

I'm fairy certain I did some work with one of the Mega Man games Dude, you should send it to Capcom! (you heard of the MM Anniversary Collection GBA version? That was supposed to be a colorization of the five GB MM games? Supposedly, it's all but cancelled because they apparently lost the source code.) Okay, guys, we got work to do.

It really annoys me that they cancelled those ports, I was looking forward to them, even if the color seemed off. Maybe I should download the colorizer again and see if I can make a decent hack...

Did the gameboy megaman games not suck or something? I never tried them, or really any gameboy platformers, after playing the fucking horrible GB Castlevanias.

They're odd, the first three suck compared to the NES games but are still fun, some people regard the fourth and fifth as the best in the series. The one thing that really kills them is the size or Mega Man and the enemies compared to the screen, your jumps almost touch the ceiling and the level designers still loved lining the ceilings with spikes.
Comparing them to Castlevania it's no contest, they control as good as the original NES games, their only flaw is the screen size as I said above.
If you want to try them start with the MM5 and work your way back, that one is the most unique, though I seem to remember it's level design being inferior to MM4.

man dude you have no idea! gameboy castlevanias were damn fine and pretty challenging! have you ever tried to finish one of them?? especially caslevania2 for gb was damn great! much better than catlevania 1,2 for nes (c2 supposed to be an adventure game?!). and controls for catlevania1 on nes were rather insulting!

Just a little update, after making that post I was inspired to play MM5 again, I forgot how annoying the "Mega Arm" is, MM4 is better in this regard (You have recoil when you shoot charged shots, but at least you don't have to wait for your hand to fly back...)

I was able to colorize Mario Land 1. The music is too fast, but I was able to fix that scrolling issue that that status bar had. You can find the patch on my website.
I loved the gb castlevanias myself. Its different than the NES fcastelvanias but Castlevania is a constantly evolving series anyway. There are some issues about castlevania adventure, I made a patch to address some of them. I gave it decent speed and removed that stupid thing about you losing your whip when hit by enemies. YOu can also find that patch on my website.
