Since I'm the only SNES SMB3 Hacker I may want to work on the project in the future (When my computer get to XP Of Course). If you want to suggest a hack that I did not put up, please post a link. Just remember that I need a hack that is mostly level design so I can see if my ASMing has no errors/bugs. Below are links to all the hacks I have in the polls.

It's a Random poll, so I'm not planning to do this project now since my computer is still down to host my own hacks.

Most SMB3 NES hacks are found in my hosted hacks page. OR ROM-Hacking dot net. I made my own hack since 2005 and I WILL plan to remake it.

NOTE: I WILL ASK THE AUTHORS BEFORE MAKING THIS FOR COPYRIGHT REASONS.

Not to derail the topic, as some SNES SMB3 hacks would be awesome, but

struck me as odd. Asking for permission is polite and good form and what-not, but for "copyright reasons"? Since Nintendo owns the copyright to the original game, and derivative works are basically illegal (or rather in this respect, in their full form after patching, since a patch by itself is useless), how would this be for copyright reasons? Have you asked Nintendo if you can make a hack of their game and distribute it? No? Then why ask the hack's creators?

</nitpicking rant>

NOTE: I don't believe in copyright at all, and have crazy ideas which rile me up sometimes.

Also, Mario Adventure would be cool (http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/70/) but the number of asm hacks and things might not suit your purposes.

EDIT:

Oh. whoops. Nevermind on Mario Adventure then. My vote goes for Chaos Control.

Hey where's Wario 3? Just kidding.  Grin
I voted on making your own levels, I'd like to see what you can pull off. Seeing this thread reminded me to work on Time Flies & Luigi's Chronicles 2. See you on My Space. Smiley

I've added other hacks in the poll because most of you have different opinions.

Sometimes I forget who copyright their original game. But I'm still polite to ask the creators of the hack before coverting to a SNES game.

First off, Mario Adventure is nearly impossible for a SNES game because it has a lot of ASM Stuff. Works best with SMW if I were you. But let's not get too hasty on re-making the game while I get to re-create their orginal backgrounds. It takes a lot Extra Graphics to rip off. I kinda wish SMB3WS has that feauture like Lunar Magic does.

Yeah, I know you were just joking about Wario 3 but I wouldn't want to re-make it anyway. Plus I haven't even found the Palette data and TSA data for the SNES game yet. SNES Palettes were much larger than NES Palettes.

Right now, I'm still undecided with my own SNES SMB3 levels I'm going to make. I may want to add some ASM Stuff if I have to.

I have it on good authority that the guy who did that zany I-Mockeryesque SMB3 hack a few years back is holding off on the enhanced re-release until he figures out a good level-revamping concept. You should look him up!  :thumbsup:
