Has anyone dumped the version of the game sold on the cartridge here?:
http://www.retrousb.com/index.php?productID=146

I just purchased the cartridge and don't have a way to dump it. This version of the game has the official contest time of 6:21 and the rom will most likely work in all emulators. I can now play the game on my real NES without spending thousands, put I'd also like to play it on my Xbox. I have the rom of the original version, and played it on FCEU Xbox, but the timer is all wrong. I can barely ever even make it to Tetris. I'd love to have an emulated version with the correct time.

That link you posted is a rebuilt cartridge with the ROM put on it.  So yes, the ROM is dumped (otherwise they wouldn't have been able to make that cartridge)

The time is configured by dipswitch settings (actual switches on the cartridge -- or at least on the original.  Nothing to do with the ROM).  The "official" setting is probably different from what FCEU is using as a default.

NEStopia, I believe, defaults to the "official" setting, and thus has the right time.

Um, the game on that cart has the dip settings harcoded so nobody can change them. I do recall that some emulators could change those values, but I forget which ones.

You can probably change the time settings on your emulated copy by using Game Genie codes.

The mapper has a 30-bit IRQ counter that increments each CPU cycle.  There were 4 dipswitches on the cartridge that controlled the "target value" that the IRQ counter had to reach before the IRQ occured (resulting in the TIME UP message in game).

Emus can change the desired time by changing the target value.  I know at least Nintendulator allows you to change the dipswitch settings -- NEStopia might as well.

You could not do anything with game genie or by hacking the ROM, since the time isn't a setting set by the game -- but is a fixed number set by the configuration of the hardware (via the dipswitches).

Nesten supports the dipswitch (it adds a special menu for certain mappers (I can only remember NWC and FDS).

But I want the version with the non-changeable timer. Is there someone that can dump the cartridge for me?

Er... so you couldn't block the bit of code that tells the game "Go to the next event" by using a game genie code? I don't mean change the timer, that much I understood. I mean not let the game take you to the next uh, game.

You misunderstand.  The dipswitch settings are physical switches you can manually flip with your finger that sit on the cartridge board.  These cannot be represented in the ROM, because the ROM is just a snapshot of the software... therefore the ROM you're asking for is the one you already have.  The reason it is emulated differently is because different emulators emulate the dipswitches differently.

see the image at the top of this page:

In the lower right corner -- those 4 little switches control the length of the timer.  There's nothing the ROM can do to change them.

Oh.  Yeah you could do that.  I thought you meant a GG code to make the timer longer.  My mistake  ^^
