I'm new to ROM hacking; I just started today. I tried to modify the graphics of one of my favorite games, Pirates! Gold , but when I opened the file everything was scrambled. After quite some time, I discovered that this was due to some kind of compression. :banghead: Is this true? If so, is there any way to decompress it?

Not a problem. And yeah, sorry ... it's very difficult to do. But if you keep at it, I'm sure you can pick it up with enough time and patience. I wish you luck!
