Every time I open up a ROM in Tile Layer Pro or Yy-chr the graphics of the tiles just seem to be completely scrambled (well, save for the characters of the alphabet and some of the title screen graphics). Does anybody know how to get it working so that I can actually see the sprites? Thanks.

When you open a ROM on a tile editor, you load all the data, not only the tile data, as the program doesn't have a way to know it's location. If you find sprites or other tiles, but they look scrambled you need to fine-tune the display (I think that in both programs you use  some "+" and "-" buttons).
If you can't find the tiles, they are probably compressed.

Tile Layer Pro do not use some "+" and "-" at all. I hope I am right or I must be missing something. Wink

Yeah, that... I haven't got it here, and I was too lazy to check, sorry... Anyway, I was refering to toolbar icons. I remeber YY-CHR and Tile Molester having them.

Get them when they're displayed on screen - that's when they have to be uncompressed. (Or, at least, in a standard format.)
