How do I tell if a ROM has a header or not? I wanna apply the English Patch to Panel De Pon, but I don't know if it has a header or not. Also, how do I know if a ROM is Interleaved or not?

If the SNES ROM size modulo 32768 bytes has a rest, you can assume that it has a header. Especially if that rest is "512".

EDIT: That'll work unless the ROM has been modified by NSRT's advanced trimming techniques that might come in the future.

Try this:

http://www.romhacking.net/utils/400/

It has SNES header detection and add/remove header capabilities.

If using Windows, just look in Windows Explorer.
If it's a good dump, the ROM size ends in an odd number, it has a header.
It's even it doesn't.

... if you keep your ROMs unzipped.

Just use nsrt on your ROMs. They will tell you if it's headered or not, interleaved or not, a good dump or not, etc.

Which you would if you're hardpatching it.

NESToy used to trim game files that were overdumps and such. I never liked this "feature". I think removing garbage at the end of rom dumps, even if said garbage -is- in the original dump and the chips on the cart, is quite dumb. The roms should be kept with all garbage, regardless of it being used or not.
