I'm trying to start a MegaMan 8 (playstation) graphics hack, but I'm in a bit of a bind. I've got TIMmay, which is supposed to let me rip out and reinsent TIM files, but I'm not sure how to use it. I've read the directions, but they seem kind of sparse to me, and I don't know how to do what it's telling me to do. Please, can any of you help; I'm a complete newbie at this sort of thing.

Megaman 8 doesn't use TIM images, at all. Everything is in a custom graphical format, so you got 2 choices: 1) hard way: create a converter; 2) easy way: use tile molester and replace what you need to.

I tried using Tile Molester, as well as a variety of other tile programs, but no go. The formats that Tile Molester says it can rip don't seem to include playstation formats (unless I have an old version), and every time I try, it gives me this message about not having this certain amount of bytes of memory, and I'm pretty such my computer should be able to handle it.

Tile Molester can handle Psx graphics. Just switch to 4bpp reversed order and enable 2 dimensions mode. 'nuff said.
