How do you hack PSX ISOs? This should be simple, as I just want to rename some characters in a game where they can't normally be renamed.

I tried to read those, but I don't know anything about Romhacking, and was "RTFM" really necessary?

Yeah... because they're geared for people who don't know anything.

It's actually a built in tag, sorry if it came off offensive, it was made for people asking questions like yours. Tongue

I would suggest you read this(http://desnet.fobby.net/doc/AoRH.html) doc, at least the part about hex and text editing. I don't know how much experience you have with programming or hacking, but it should be quite easy to understand.

Good luck! Smiley

I have no experience at all with programming or hacking, but I'll try and understand it. Thanks.

How do you hack PSX ISOs?

You realize this is basically the same question as something like, "How do I read a book?" or "How do I operate heavy machinery?"

This(http://www.romhacking.net/docs/63/) could also be helpfull, though you should read and understand the previous doc first. It basically tells you how to edit certain files within the ISO, bin etc., and some other things.
