There's a poor, old, mostly-forgotten Chinese MMORPG that pretty much no one has heard of... except those of us that love the game despite barely knowing what we're doing. Small translation parts have been done, but we have hit a roadblock due to the client itself. There's a length restriction on names for spells, NPCs, and possibly monsters, though it has been a while, so I don't remember. We need someone that can try to extend this for us, because there is pretty much no way to condense something like "Meteor Storm" into four letters. Thus, we seek someone capable of this. I have been told it would be very difficult, but anyone willing to at least try would be greatly appreciated.

If interested, reply here, send a PM, or check out our very new forums at http://aglaiaonline.net/forum.

Things like this should go into a Help Wanted Ad on the site instead of being placed in the forum. :police:

Uh...

Wouldn't this, like, get you in trouble? I mean, one update and all your work gets undone.

From the site it looks like they're running a server.

We are not currently running a server, though we have in the past. The current site is in place for development only. The original website for the game went neglected for around two years before it finally disappeared, and the company ignores any of our requests for info or any interest in the game. This game was basically the test design for their game God Sword Online, and appears to have been completely discontinued and forgotten. At this point, it is likely the only risk that trouble would arise from this is about the same as it is in romhacking. Both are technically illegal, but if there's no money to be gained, and no one cares, it doesn't much matter.

And for the record, the person running the server never asked for anything more than donations to keep the dedicated server online, and that's all he put the donated money into. He doesn't believe in pocketing people's donations.

Oh, I'm not criticizing your choice to hack the game. I was wondering if you were hacking the client so you could play on their servers. Since the game is abandoned, all you should worry about is the company itself.

Apologies if my previous message was misunderstood.
