The game is new in Japan and coming to the US anyway if they could wait a few months - so it's like a 0-day Pokemon translation.

I wish they'd Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest in Itadaki Street Special for PSP... :( That'll never ever come out of Japan! :(

i remember people begging people to come out with a patch for like, Pokemon Quartzamondnet or Megaman Battle Network 8: Golden Butt. what the hell? you know it's going to be out soon in the US anyway, right? why expend all the effort to release a partial patch when people could either a) man up and learn a bit of japanese, b) man up and just play it in moonspeak, or c) **wait until the US release**?

i should say that if you really want to do it, sure, go ahead. but expect to have your patch obsoleted the moment the english version comes out Tongue

They want to know if somebody has run the ROM through of those auto-magical translator programs.  Tongue

Yep, according to Gamefaqs it's coming out in October of 2007.

ya know while this translation is useless its still a breakthrough. We may see some games that will never hit us shores someday now that its possible. I mean look at tales of phantasia full voice addition. That could be good if we never get a hold of the psx version.

yeah I was thinking the same thing, if I was going to get a PSP there are a number of games that are Japan only that I would like to be able to undestand. Same with importing PS2 games, hopefully there will be an increasing trend, where you can buy the game, but apply some sort of translation patch so you can understand it.

Basically you need to understand that while the patch itself is not intresting seeing as we will get a better version at retail soon the fact that it can be done and without the help of this communitys is pretty cool. Heck maybe its easier to translate psp then psx and Cless can switch his project to the psp tales.

That would be cool. But is there a PsP emulator?  I don't know how you could copy the translation onto that disk format Tongue

You would use a hacked firmware and play the games off the memory stick. Not only does this allow hacks but it allows things such as increasing the power of the psp at loss of battery life and increased load speed.
