I was wondering, could someone make a list of all the SNES games that haven't been translated yet? I know it's a huge request, but I think it would help a lot of people out. The list would list games by their genre and would list the games in alphabetical order, maybe even have links giving a little information about the game. If the game has a COMPLETE translation it gets taken off the list, if it only has partial patches, it'll be listed as "in progress".  It would actually be very simular to the translation database, except it would list every untranslated SNES game. I'd do it but really I don't have that kind of time.

...So you want someone else to do it for you because you can't be bothered to? Roll Eyes

Seriously, if you find a game that you want to hack and want to make sure nobody else has already translated it, just check the database. Compiling a list of [language]-only games is a waste of time, imo.

...and who does?

Can they? Yes.  Will they? Don't count on it.

Nice, I think something like that should be hosted, somewhere where it won't got lost.

Thanks for the list, I never knew it existed until now. And I would've done something like this myself, but progress would probably go a lot slower since I'm a busy man.

*points at own title* What is that supposed to mean. Cry

Anyways, wouldn't it be easy enough (maybe with RHDH2.0) to just make a program that compares the list to the RHDN database to find this kind of thing out? Of course both would have to use the same names, but shouldn't accurate names be something we strive for anyways?

ha, no diss intended Spikeman, yeah, I have a feeling people might actually churn out second rate hacks to increase their title though, some people are so pathetic.

We really can't do this. Our internal game database only has games that have material in some form on this site(or used to at one time). It's not nearly an all encompassing game database to be able to generate a list like that.

As far as comparing our internal database to a full external game listing, that may be possible, but I'm sure names would not match(the only way I can think of to actually compare the lists) and it would probably turn out to be a useless disaster.

RHDN 2.0 does allow the Games database to be maintained by the public. So, I guess it is possible then to start adding games to it regardless of site material being present, but I actually don't allow that right now. I've always felt the game database here should only contain games that actually have material on this site for them.
