Thanks Guys, i now what im doing ive copied a room using my hex editor, know im changing the pointer's, so that when i edit a room the modifications don't go into the original. Which pointer do i edit, layer1_2, level data,door_out? I would appreciate it, if someone were to justify which pointer im changing and what im changing it to, and for furture referance tell me the sequence etc. on how to do it. Thank To Everyone that helps! by the way im editing super metroid, and im using smile.

Methinks all of them, but having not really hacked that game too hard I don't know for sure. However, if you've read what Jathys calls that excuse of a readme, you can get some tips in his channel (irc.esper.net:6667, #jzd). It's funny how the readme is usually the last thing people read...

Then again, SMILE wasn't made to be user friendly. If you don't know what you are doing then you're going to be in trouble. Cry
