i'm pretty sure if someone here was interested, i would have heard from them long ago Tongue

the projects aren't dropped so much as they're moving rather slowly. progress is being made, though...

Don't worry, the projects aren't dead as he said, you couldn't kill them if he tried to let you... Apparently.

i remember way back when,

getting yelled at by the people on Gfaqs about even asking about your translation.

all i asked was for the URL, and the V number.  never saw so much flaming.

Hello!! im new to this forum, and I gotta say, this is the best site for romhackers, period. Im relatively new to romhacking as well, and the documents in here have made me understand a little bit more each time, in the hopes of translating games that simply need to be appreciated and known by alot of people, rather than just being JP only. I'm eager to learn everything necesssary to do quality translations. Im also working on one right now, called Dancing Sword, for the GBA. Right now, Im doing basic script dumping and acsi and shift JS inserting, plus translating the game right now, which is roughly at 15%. Learning ASM right now to do the rest (Specially changing the 2byte shift-jis text instructions, that font is HUGE XD). Im writing to tell you that, if you need any help, Im willing to do whatever it is you need, be it translating or (Doubt it) any romhacking. I so want this project to be finished, and I think everyone here feels the same. I actually have both narikiri dungeon 2 and 3, so if you want translated manual scans, let me know. Smiley take care and hi's to everybody, hope everything goes smoothly, and good luck Wink Byes

Good luck elnegro.  Glad to see somebody new around trying to make some contributions.

Btw Kaji, it seems like you may finally get your wish when I do obtain a compiler and some free time.  With the draft of the next version of Atlas I'm planning...I'm going to add text regions.  Tongue

i e-mailed the guy translating the narikiri games and hes actualy looking for help. he says he the game is shift-jis and can just be translated with notepad so anyone willing to help just e-mail him at his site. i would gladly help him but frankly i cant read japanese (but i would really like to) if anyone has suggestions on learning japanese please tell me.

Is it just me or is it extremely rude to ask people to take over someone else's work out of impatience. I'll never believe the amount of arrogant fools out there.

elnegro: I'm currently not online on instant messengers, but you know you can ask me anything with GBA stuff if you need info Wink

I guess some people think that if they keep begging they might get someone to spend their time finishing translating an entire game for free just for one person.

Well, I did enjoy playing around with the games, even though I couldn't understand much. I guess that's why I played around with that title screen graphic, hehe... I look on it now and remember I never was happy with that "Tales of the World" banner, not as brightly yellow as the original. That aside, if you have any other graphics that need to be edited, I could probably use a distraction from papercrafting. =P
