Is there a utility that can scan a folder for text files and list off only the ones that happen to contain Shift-JIS?  In working on SSRPG, I'm finding it's a bit of a hassle, as there are a few hundred files, and with all the duplicate entries, it's easy to lose track of what has what. Any help would be much appreciated.  Smiley

It could be as simple as searching for files like *.sjs, but if it was I doubt you'd be posting about it. Have you looked into using a program like grep? It's built into Linux and there is at least one Windows port. It should be able to accomplish what you're looking to do.

Or you could find a Windows version of 'file'. Smiley
