Hi,
I'm planning to work on hacking in Final Fantasy VI Advance. However I have a problem with few things.
1) When searching for the font.... I can't find any single font. I been going through Tile Layer Pro and I can't find the specific font to edit. I found some Super Nintendo fonts in the ROM. But, I can't find the GBA font.
So I assume that it might be compressed or something.
What program(s) that will help me find the graphic font in the ROM?
I'm trying to edit the fonts in the game. I couldn't find it.

You'll find the font with Tile Layer Pro. Not the text.

Thanks Dragonsbrethren!
But how do I edit the fonts? They are not showing up in the Tile Layer Pro.

I don't have the offsets for the fonts anymore, I had no interest in editing them, you can view them using VB format in any tile editor that supports it, but trust me, they won't look like any font you've seen before: (That's from FF4 Advance, but FF6's are stored the same way) There are two sets of weapon names, one uses the dialog font table, the other uses the menu table. I didn't see the character names but chances are they're stored using the menu table.

Oh dang forget the font part.... I just checked and they mostly like wont be edited. But thanks for everything. I got everything I need such as the editing with tbl file. Edit: Uh. How do I make a longer name? like Hawkeye to Tomahawk but I'm afraid if I go overflow the dots. thanks.

Pointers. We've got plenty of docs here on those; do some research.

Give a man a flame, and he'll be warm for an evening. Set a man aflame, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
...Wait...

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Slap a man with a fish, and you've got a comedy routine.

Note that its always nice to give a man a fish when the fishings bad after ya teach um. Or give him one to keep him going on the learning process. If someone is truely willing to learn but must turn to the help of his peers on a subject is it really that bad to help him? As long as hes putting effort in there.

The trouble is, you've got all these people coming up to you, crying "catch me a fish, catch me a fish!" And while the site is all about fishing, these people don't seem to understand all that's involved--while you can usually take the same old boat and rod out every time, sometime you got to craft an entirely new boat, and cut out and string your own rod, in order to get the fish you want. And then you have to learn how to read the waters to know where the fish lie, and they always end up lying deeper than people think, so you got to just get out there in the middle of the lake, set your rod, and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait.
And wait.

That was pretty funny. I need to develop some witty humor .

It's not really mine, but I did paraphrase it slightly.
